GPR has released an exhaust silencer in a homologated version under the name of the world champion Moto 3 2017 Joan Mir.

In 2016, Mir made his debut in the Moto3 class for the Leopard team on a KTM. In the first half of the season he managed to achieve good results and regularly got the points. During the Grand Prix of Austria he achieved his first pole position and also his first Grand Prix victory in the World Championship. With two other podium places, he finished the season as the best rookie in fifth place with 144 points.
In 2017, the Mir team switched to a Honda engine with the GPR exhaust. This proved to be a good choice, he won races in Qatar, Argentina, France, Catalonia, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Aragón and Australia. Thanks to this last victory, he was declared the world champion Moto3 2017, two races before the end of the season.
